Although it is currently not available for rental, it remains a meaningful landmark within the conservancy. When standing here, you can often see eland grazing peacefully against the mountain backdrop, one of the most breathtaking sights Kareekloof has to offer.
It is a quiet and scenic spot that captures the true essence of Kareekloof. Wide landscapes, gentle wildlife encounters, and a deep connection to the natural beauty that surrounds you.

The Large Dam
A tranquil dam-side escape surrounded by untouched natural beauty. During the warmer months, enjoy relaxed canoeing across still waters while soaking in the peaceful scenery — the perfect setting to unwind and reconnect with nature.

Ghost House
Spook Huis, or “Ghost House,” is a quiet and mysterious landmark tucked within the landscape. Surrounded by stillness and natural beauty, it invites curious visitors to pause, explore, and experience the atmosphere of this intriguing hidden spot.



The Manual Gate
The Manual Gate marks the entry point to Waterfall, Lapa, Shepherd Cottage, Waterfall Cottage, and Spook Huis. Guests are kindly asked to ensure the gate is securely closed after passing through, and a 4×4 vehicle is recommended for travel beyond this point.







Abandoned Historic House & Rustic Car
An abandoned historic house paired with a rustic car creates a timeless setting filled with character and quiet nostalgia — perfect for photos, picnics, and slow moments surrounded by history.

The Quarry
The Quarry is a hidden natural marvel shaped by time, where dramatic rock formations and sweeping landscapes create a striking setting for exploration, photography, and quiet appreciation of nature’s artistry.
